This is to let you know that the FUTO Post UTME Form for the 2022/2023 academic session is out. The management of the university is inviting candidates who want to further their tertiary studies at the institution to apply for the post UTME form before it closes. Guidelines on how to apply, eligibility, requirements, and other details about FUTO Post UTME Form have been provided in this article. Hence, stick around while we walk you through this post.


FUTO Post UTME Screening Requirements

  • All aspirants of FUTO must have sat for the 2022/2023 Jamb cbt examination and must have scored a minimum of 160
  • Aspirants should know that they must have at least 5 required credits in relevant O/level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
  • The federal university of Technology Owerri general cut off mark is 160. All prospective undergraduates who scored 160 and above in the just concluded JAMB exams are expected to come forward for the form.

How Much is FUTO Post UTME Form?

Eligible candidates would be required to pay a processing fee of Two Thousand Naira for the form (N2,000.00).

Please note that there is a big difference between a general cut off mark and a departmental cut off mark.
While 160 jamb score only can not guarantee you admission you are required to meet FUTO departmental cut off mark for your desired course of study. Use this link check out the departments and their respective cut-off mark.

Who is Eligible to Apply for FUTO Post UTME Form?

  • UTME Candidate must have scored a minimum of 160 in their JAMB.
  • Former students of the University whose admission was withdrawn on the basis of poor academic performance or absence status could re-apply on condition that the new admission shall be for a new programme/course different from the former programme/course.
  • Any student expelled from the University cannot be offered fresh admission
  • Those who did not choose FUTO as First Choice University but scored a minimum of 180 can also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB website for a change of Institution.

How to Apply for FUTO Post UTME

To apply, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Visit the University website: futo.edu.ng
  2. Click on Prospective students.
  3. Click on the link; “2022/2023 POST-UTME/Direct Entry Application”.
  4. Enter your JAMB Registration Number to generate Payment Invoice containing the Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR).
  5. Proceed to any Bank with the payment invoice OR simply pay with your ATM Card.
  6. Return to the Application page and enter your JAMB Registration number again.
  7. Proceed with the completion of the form.
  8. Correctly enter your O’Level results.
  9. Confirm your entries.
  10. Submit your application.
  11. Print out your acknowledgement slip.
  12. Await further communication from the University.

Important Information

  1. You must enter a valid mobile number and e-mail address for further communications.
  2. Candidates are advised to upload their O’level results on JAMB Portal.
  3. Those who fail to register within the period WILL NOT be qualified for the Aptitude Test.
  4. Any candidate who fails to successfully submit his application online would automatically lose his/her chance of being considered for admission.

Just as the saying; the best time to repair your roof is when the sun is shining. Take note that this year’s post-UTME result will pose a different problem to candidates, especially all candidates who did not score up to 180 generally because of the increasing number of students who are seeking for admission (Except you’re going to A Private University or Polytechnic).
