Edo State University, also known as Edo University Iyamho, is a relatively young institution that has quickly made its mark on the Nigerian educational landscape. Edo University Post UTME Admission Requirements and Eligibility
- Admission is open to candidates who sat for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Applicants are to complete the online Application Form by visiting Edo University Iyamho website
- All applicants are required to have met the Departmental minimum entry requirement of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics at GCE O’ Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents at not more than two sittings. However, for Medicine and Surgery (MB; BS), the five credits (including Mathematics and English) must be obtained at one sitting only.
- Candidates awaiting results may also apply.
- All applicants will be required to go through Edo University Iyamho Screening Exercise.

- Complete the online application form for Edo University Iyamho.
- Participate in the Iyamho screening process at Edo University.
Edo University Direct Entry Admission Requirements and Eligibility
- All Direct Entry candidates are required to buy and process the 2022 JAMB Direct Entry Form
- Edo University Iyamho accepts the following for Direct Entry Admission into the 200 Level:
- A minimum Merit pass in NCE, Credit in OND/HND, or at least Second Class (Lower Division) in BSc. for admission into three and four-year degree programs.
- Candidates with two Advanced Level passes or their equivalent in relevant subjects.
- The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), or Cambridge moderated School of Basic Studies at acceptable grade levels.
- In addition to NCE/ND/HND/BSc/IJMB/JUPEB or two Advanced Level papers specified by each Faculty or Programme, candidates must also satisfy the O’ level requirements.
- Any other qualification as approved by the University Senate.

How to Apply for EDSU Post UTME Form 2023/2024
Applicants are to complete the online Application Form by visiting the Edo State University screening portal at: www.edouniversity.edu.ng
- All applicants must have obtained at least five (5) credits in relevant courses, including English language and mathematics, at the GCE O’ Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents in no more than two sittings to be considered for admission. The five credits (including English and Mathematics) for Medicine and Surgery (MB; BS) must be completed in one session.
- Applicants who are awaiting the outcomes of (b) above may also apply.
- All applicants must go through the screening process at Edo State University, Uzairue (formerly known as Edo University Iyamho).
- If you took the 2023 UTME but did not select Edo State University, Uzairue (Formerly Edo University Iyamho) as your top choice, you can still apply by changing your university preference as follows:
- By using JAMB, request a change of institution.
Complete the online application form for Edo State University, Uzairue.
- The 2023 JAMB Direct Entry Form must be purchased and completed by all candidates for Direct Entry. The following are acceptable for a direct entry admission to the 200 level at Edo State University, Uzairue:
- A minimum of Merit pass in NCE, Credit in OND/HND, or a University degree in relevant discipline.
- Candidates with two Advanced Level passes in relevant subjects or their equivalent.

Edo State University 2023 Undergraduate Scholarship
The EDO STATE UNIVERSITY UZAIRUE, a world-class institution with state-of-the-art facilities in Iyamho, Edo State, upholds quality and excellence in teaching and research, is eager to award full scholarships to deserving students who obtained a minimum UTME score of 260 and partial scholarships to deserving indigent students from Edo State who obtained a minimum UTME score of 180.
A. Undergraduate Full Scholarship Award:
The Undergraduate Full Scholarship Award (UFSA) will last for the entirety of the candidates’ chosen program.
A maximum of five (5) individuals who have shown a high level of academic excellence are eligible for this grant.
B. Indigent Students Scholarship Award (ISSA),:
The Indigent Students Scholarship Award (ISSA), which only covers tuition costs, is available for the duration of any chosen program.

General Requirements for Scholarships in Edo State University

Eligibility
a.). A minimum score of 260 is required for the Undergraduate Full Scholarship Award (UFSA) and 180 for the Undergraduate Indigent Students Scholarship Award (ISSA) for the candidate to have selected Edo University Iyamho as his or her first choice of university for the UTME.
