Crescent University General Admission Requirements

  • Credits at SSCE, GCE, NECO, or approved equivalent in at least five subjects must include English Language and Mathematics and any other three subjects as specified by each Department.
  • The five credits should be obtained in up to two sittings and must have been received within the last five years.
  • Candidates awaiting results may apply.

Crescent University Admission Requirement Through Direct Entry

  • NCE, OND, and their recognized equivalents in the appropriate field and at least the Upper Credit level are in addition to the above O/L criteria.
  • Along with the abovementioned O/L qualifications, appropriate topics at the Advanced Level or its equivalent must be completed.
  • Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) at respectable grade levels; In exceptional circumstances, holders of an OND with less credit from accredited institutions may be admitted to 200 level (part II) in pertinent degree programs, provided they meet the minimum requirements set forth for entry into 100 level.
  • If an HND from an accredited university with less credit meets the minimal standards for entry into the 100 level, they may be admitted to the applicable degree program’s 200 class.

  • To obtain a form, pay the university 10,000 naira (=N=10,000.00) with a bank draft made out to Crescent University, Abeokuta. You can get the forms from the following places:

  • Return the completed application form to the admissions office of Crescent University in Abeokuta, together with 12 passport photos and three copies of the original documentation.
  • After payment of the screening cost of one thousand nairas (=N=1,000.00), the candidate will be invited for the screening activity.
  • The candidates who pass the screening process will be offered admission; if they accept the offer, they must appear for the registration process and certificate verification when classes commence for the first semester, typically in September of each year.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

  • The accepted candidates submit a photocopy of the receipt and the acceptance form and pay a fifty thousand naira (=N=50,000.00) acceptance fee at the bursary (subject to changes by the university administration).
  •  The admissions officer then confirms the documentation and exempts all new students.
  •  All students must register for the courses required by the colleges/departments at the start of the semester.
  • All registration will end three weeks before the exam (whether it was done on time or late).
  •  Registration will never be allowed after matriculation.
  • The registration procedure is as follows, step by step:
  •  You are paying the required funds and receiving approval from the bursary.
  •  Get clearance from the admissions officer and receipt of the academic office’s registration course documents.
  •  Only those students who have paid their tuition are placed in residence halls by the Registry.
  •  Clearance from the college office.
  •  Completion of Registration Forms after consulting with the relevant departmental heads.
  •  Registration course form must be completed and completely signed before being submitted to the Academic Office via the College Office.

All new students must sign up at the university health center during registration.

A copy of the fully completed Registration Course Form must be collected from the college to be kept by the student.
