AAUA pre-degree courses available

The undergraduate programs last for one academic session. Each candidate who successfully completes the program after adequate counseling will choose from the degree programs listed below. However, placements will depend on performance and available spaces. Candidates must sit the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to be eligible for consideration for admission to the University and must obtain a minimum pass mark as agreed by the university and the JAMB.

UNDERGRADUATE SCIENCE

Biochemistry, Chemistry, Environmental Biology and Fisheries, Geology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics with Electronics and Plant Science and Biotechnology.

UNDERGRADUATE SCIENCE EDUCATION

Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science Education, Health Education, Human Kinetics, Integrated Science, Mathematics Education, Physics and Technical Education.

UNDERGRADUATE ARTS
Linguistics and Yoruba, Religion and African Culture, Yoruba, Linguistics, Philosophy and Religious Studies.

UNDERGRADUATE ART EDUCATION
Adult Education, English Education, History Education, Religious Studies Education, and Yoruba Education.

UNDERGRADUATE SOCIAL SCIENCE
Geography and Planning Sciences and Psychology

UNDERGRADUATE SOCIAL SCIENCE EDUCATION
Geography Education, Social Studies Education, Accounting Education, Economic Education, Political Science Education, Guidance and Counseling, and Educational Management.

UNDERGRADUATE AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE
Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Animal Science, Forestry and Game Management, Agronomy and Fisheries.

UNDERGRADUATE ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT
Architecture, Estate Management, Surveying and Geoinformatics, and City and Regional Planning.

AAUA Undergraduate Admission Requirements

PLEASE NOTE: Credit pass in English language and Mathematics is required for all courses.

UNDERGRADUATE ARTS AND UNDERGRADUATE ART EDUCATION

  • A minimum of 5 Credit Passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB or WAEC) obtained at no more than two sittings. This includes Mathematics, English Language, and any of CRK/IRK/Arabic Studies, History/Government. A credit pass in Literature in English will be required for English Education; a credit pass in Yoruba is required for BA Yoruba or any language for BA Linguistics.
  • The five Credit Passes must include English Language, Mathematics, any of CRK/IRK/Arabic Studies and two subjects from either Arts or Social Sciences for Religion and African Culture.

UNDERGRADUATE SCIENCE & UNDERGRADUATE SCIENCE EDUCATION

  • A minimum of five Credit Passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB or WAEC) obtained at a maximum of two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

UNDERGRADUATE SOCIAL SCIENCE

  • A minimum of five Credit Passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB or WAEC) obtained at no more than two sittings. This should include Mathematics, English Language and three other Social Science subjects. Those willing to study GEOGRAPHY AND PLANNING must have Credit in Geography in addition to two other subjects. Those willing to study PURE AND APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY must have Credit in Biology.

UNDERGRADUATE SOCIAL SCIENCE EDUCATION

  • A minimum of five Credit Passes at SSCE (NECO or WAEC) obtained at no more than two sittings. This should include Mathematics, English Language and three other Social Science subjects. Those willing to study GEOGRAPHICAL EDUCATION must have Credit in Geography in addition to two other subjects.

UNDERGRADUATE AGRICULTURE

  • A minimum of five Credit Passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB or WAEC) obtained at no more than two sittings. This should include Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and Physics.

NOTE: (a) Credit pass in Economics is required for Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Extension and Rural Development with at least a pass in Physics, (b) Credit pass in Agricultural Science is acceptable for Agronomy, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Animal Science and Forestry & Wildlife Management with at least a pass in Biology.

UNDERGRADUATE ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT

  • UNDERGRADUATE ARCHITECTURE: A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two of Chemistry, Biology, Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Geography , Economics, Building Construction, Surveying.
  • UNDERGRADUATE ESTATE MANAGEMENT: A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Chemistry, Biology/Agric Sci, Commerce, Geography, Technical Drawing.
  • UNDERGRADUATE SURVEYING AND GEOINFORMATICS: A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two of Chemistry, Biology/Agric Sci. Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Geography, Economics.
  • UNDERGRADUATE URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING: A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any two of Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Agric Science, Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Government and Economics.
