University of Suffolk Scholarships

The University of Suffolk’s overseas Suffolk Executive MBA (SEMBA) Scholarship (2023/4) program is intended to draw and recognize overseas university applicants with a high academic record from their prior studies and a solid work history.

Awards worth £4,000 are available through the International Suffolk Executive MBA (SEMBA) Scholarship (2023/4) program. This scholarship is automatic. Therefore, all qualified applicants will be considered without needing a separate application.

The number of awards given for the 2023–2024 academic year is unrestricted. When students enroll in the university, they must pay a tuition charge. Scholarships will be made available as a reduction to that fee. Payments cannot be used to offset CAS deposits (if necessary).

Eligibility requirements

Those who wish to be considered for the International Suffolk Executive MBA (SEMBA) Scholarship (2023/4) must:

  • Be categorized as an overseas payment for international fees.
  • Apply for and accept a spot in the University of Suffolk’s Suffolk Executive MBA (SEMBA) program, which is offered at the Ipswich campus.

Excellence in International Master’s Scholarship

How to Apply

Candidates must first submit a scholarship application, which will be made available on the University of Suffolk website, to be considered for the scholarship. The brief submission required for the scholarship application will include the following information:

  • Any noteworthy academic accomplishments (academic or in the English language) from prior study

Eligibility criteria

For the International Master’s Excellence Scholarship, applicants must be international. 

Candidates must:

  • Received an unconditional definite offer for a full-time, admissible postgraduate teaching position at the University of Suffolk’s Ipswich campus beginning in January 2023.
  • Being self-funding and having an abroad classification for fee purposes
  • Have applied for the International Master’s Excellence Scholarship before the deadlines (listed below)
  • Have passed the university’s admissions office’s pre-CAS interview (only for visa applicants)
  • Paid the University a CAS deposit of at least £3,000 (only for visa students)

International Scholastic Exchange

The following prizes will be available: For Undergraduate (Bachelor’s): GBP 1,000 in Year 1, GBP 500 in Year 2, and GBP 1,000 for Postgraduate Taught (Master’s).

No need to apply; you will automatically be considered for this scholarship. The admissions team will inform the eligible students During the CAS process.

Eligibility criteria

You must fulfill the following requirements to be eligible for the award:

  • To enroll in classes at the University of Suffolk, you must apply.
  • You must fulfill the course’s prerequisites, receive an offer, and successfully enroll at the University of Suffolk.
  • For fee purposes, you must be self-funding and designated as an overseas applicant.

(2023/4) International Merit Scholarship

Eligibility criteria

The University of Suffolk has created a brand-new scholarship program called the International Merit Scholarship (2023/4) to honor international students who reach or surpass our stated entry standards (depending on the nation where you previously attended college).

Applicants to taught undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the University of Suffolk at its Ipswich campus are eligible for the program. 

The following are the awards:

Global Impact Scholarship of the Vice-Chancellor (2023/4)

Scholarships of £4,000 are available for fifty (50) candidates—25 UG students and 25 PGT students.

This award is not given automatically; those who qualify will be contacted to apply after receiving an admissions offer.

Eligibility criteria

25 scholarships for UG students and 25 for PGT students, totaling £4,000 in fifty (50) fee scholarships. The grant will be applied to UG students during each academic year (not during sandwich years). 

Scholarship applications must be submitted by 4 April 2023 through a competitive application process. Applicants must have an offer to attend the University of Suffolk in 2023 or 2024 to be eligible.

Eligibility requirements

  • Those who wish to apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Impact Scholarship (2023/4) must:
  • Have been offered a 360-credit undergraduate or 180-credit postgraduate taught program at the University of Suffolk’s Ipswich campus, either conditionally or unconditionally.
  • Be enrolled in full-time studies and have applied to start in the 2023–2024 school year.
  • Being self-funding and having an abroad classification for fee purposes.
  • Have applied for the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Impact Scholarship (2023/4) before the deadline.
  • In the academic year 2023–2024, we will present fifty (50) Vice-Chancellor’s Global Impact Scholarships, each worth £4,000.

Postgraduate Alumni Loyalty Program

An alumni postgraduate loyalty program offers a 25% course cost discount.

Eligibility criteria

You must fulfill each requirement listed below to be eligible for the University of Suffolk Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme:

  • Be a graduate of the University of Suffolk (previously UCS) or a graduate of one of our legacy schools in Suffolk who earned an undergraduate or graduate degree before 2007.
  • Fund all of your postgraduate tuition.
  • Have received and accepted an offer of admission to a master’s or postgraduate research program.
  • Have paid up any prior debt due to the University.

University of Suffolk Acceptance Rate

University of Suffolk admissions are competitive, with an acceptance rate of 84% and an early acceptance rate of 84.7%. An ACT score of 21–26 or a SAT score of 1020–1210 are required for admission to UOS for half of the applicants. 

However, only one-fourth of accepted applicants obtained scores within these ranges, and the other one-quarter received lower scores. There is a $50 application fee (INR 3,827) and a sliding application deadline for UOS.

Admissions for International Students at Suffolk University

Depending on their country’s educational system, international students eager to enroll at Suffolk University must meet a few additional prerequisites. Both domestic and international students transferring from another U.S. university or institution must meet this prerequisite. 

To apply for their visa to study in the USA, students must submit the following supporting documents in addition to their I-20:

  • A bank statement and a confidential declaration of finances.
  • A duplicate of the passport’s photo page
  • Photos the size of a passport
  • Receipt for SEVIS Fee
  • Completed forms for visa applications
  • All international students must also pay an application fee and attend an interview at the embassy or consulate.

Suffolk University: Admissions for Undergraduates

Suffolk University’s students have access to roughly 105 bachelor’s programs in various subjects through its four degree-granting schools.
