Scholarship Worth

UoPeople remains tuition-free because of its use of volunteers, Open Educational Resources, open-source technology, and peer-to-peer learning. More than 6,000 professionals have volunteered for the university, filling key UoPeople leadership positions including University President, Provost, Academic Deans, Course Developers, Academic Advisers and Course Instructors.

UoPeople is building a sustainable new model for higher education, in which students are asked to pay only a $100 assessment fee at the end of each course; for students who might find even these modest fees prohibitive, the university offers a variety of scholarships.

UoPeople offers three Associate and Bachelor’s degree programs in Business Administration, Health Science and Computer Science, as well as a one-year MBA program. Their accreditation is provided by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) since the first quarter of 2014.

The university, located in Pasadena, California, provides free tuition to thousands around the world. Students are responsible for paying a registration fee of 60$ and a 100$ processing fee for each exam taken per student.

An Associates’s degree requires around 20 exams, and 40 exams to obtain a Bachelor’s degree. If you can’t pay, scholarships are available to apply to pay for these costs.
