The management of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) has announced the dates for the 2023/2024 academic session post-basic nursing programs.

This is to inform prospective students of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) School of Post-Basic Nursing Studies that the earlier scheduled entrance examination/interview should be held between 16 to 17 August 2023, as initially indicated in the advertisement, has been postponed.

This postponement became necessary due to some unforeseen circumstances.

The exam/interview will take place from 16 to 17 August 2023 at 8:00 am.

CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

The prospective candidate should possess the following qualifications/features:

  • Five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in WASSCE/NECO at not more than two (2) sittings.
  • NABTEB is accepted but cannot be combined with any other O’Level Certificate (WASSCE/NECO)
  • Candidates must not be under 17 years of age at the time of application.
  • Candidates must not have any criminal record.
  • Candidates must not have any deformities on their hands.

COST OF APPLICATION FORM

The University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Ilorin General Purpose Account will receive the N10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) application fee through Remita.

Candidates must pay using their identity as Payer; if they do not, they risk being excluded from consideration for admission.

CLOSING DATE

All application forms should be completed online on or before 28th July 2023.

SELECTION/INTERVIEW DATES

Written test: August 16–17, 2023, between Thursday and Saturday. Beginning on August 1, 2023, candidates must confirm the date on the UITH website.
Interview in person: August 21, 2023.

National League for Nursing Entrance Examination (PAX)
The PAX evaluates a candidate’s linguistic, mathematical, and scientific knowledge. 160 multiple-choice questions, including 60 each on reading comprehension and word knowledge, are spread throughout three subject areas. 40 math problems.
