The Nigerian government has today, announced that Nigerian students will not be participating in the forthcoming West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations.
This announcement was shared by the Nigerian Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, who disclosed this to newsmen after the virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday, July 8th, 2020.
Mallam Adamu Adamu further disclosed that there is no date yet for school resumption (tertiary institutions and otherwise). He also added that he will prefer Nigerian students to lose an academic year than expose them to the danger of the COVID-19 pandemic.
