JAMB, NUC TO SANCTION UNIVERSITIES SOLD 2022/2023 ADMISSION FORM

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the National Universities Commission (NUC), the National Council for Technical Education (NBTE) and the National Commission for Colleges of Education have threatened universities that sell application forms for the execution of the 2022/2023 admissions.

The regulatory agencies in a memo titled “Serialization of Guidelines for the 2022 Admission Exercise” ordered that all applications for admission to First Degree, National Diploma, National Innovation Diploma and the Nigeria Certificate in Education in Full-time, Distance Education, Part-Time, Outreach, Sandwich, etc., should be processed through JAMB Central Admission Processing System (JAMB-CAPS) only.

According to the memo, this is to curb the high rate of irregular surveys conducted by institutions.

Although JAMB started the action for the 2022/2023 admissions in August 2022 with the deadline pegged at December 31, 2022, some institutions were found to be doing admissions from JAMB-CAPS hence the warning.
