There are speculations whether the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will sell UTME from 2021. It is considering the ASUU strike along with the FG’s closure of schools since March last year.
However, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will continue selling the 2021/2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) form, despite the apparent logjam in the academic calendar of most federal universities.
JAMB’s liaison officer, dr. Fabian Benjamin announced this to reporters in Abuja last Friday. According to him, the UTME is an annual exercise and as such it will not be suspended.
He also added that universities have completed about 60 percent of the admissions for the 2020/2021 session.
However, he did not disclose when the board is likely to start selling UTME / DE form for 2021.
