The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the deadline for admission to the various tertiary institutions for the academic session 2020/2021. This is stated in a statement made available by JAMB on Sunday morning.
This decision was taken jointly at a virtual meeting with the heads of tertiary institutions in the country on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
According to the JAMB registrar, after a robust and informative summit, members jointly agreed that all public universities are expected to complete their admissions on or before 15 May 2021, while the private universities and all IEIs, polytechnics and COEs they on the agreed date of 15 June 2021.
He noted that 30% of the institutions have started admission to the academic session 2020/2021.
Prof. Oloyede reiterated that the deadlines chosen for all institutions remain sacred and binding, as the Council would not tolerate any breaches of the collective decision reached at the meeting.
The date for commencement of the 2021/2022 JAMB UTME / DE sales of form, the JAMB Registrar has announced that the date will be announced by next week.
Meanwhile, the Council called on all institutions to give them rigorous advice on inter / intra-university transfers, foreign interuniversity transfers and new foreign candidates, change of programs and institutions and other essential processes related to admission to avoid unnecessary controversy that could jeopardize the future of innocent candidates and their subsequent mobilization for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). He added that these advice and procedures serve to serve as guidelines for them on dealing with the various issues as they arise.
