The Federal University Lafia commenced its academic activities at a temporary site on Obi Road in Lafia, generously donated by the Nasarawa State Government.

The site included existing buildings and renovated structures for offices and classrooms. In contrast, additional structures were constructed to meet the needs of the university before academic activities began.

In 2015, the university started relocating to its permanent site, spanning 206 hectares along the Lafia Makurdi Road in Lafia. The Nasarawa State Government provided this land. By 2018, the central administration and all but two faculties had successfully moved to the permanent site. The university’s official address is Federal University Lafia, P.M.B. 146, Lafia, Nasarawa State, Nigeria.

On June 20, 2019, the Governing Council decided to change the name of the university to the Federal University of Lafia. This correction was based on the amendment of the university’s name outlined in the Gazette of the Federal University Lafia (Establishment) Act 2015.

This is to inform aspirants of the Federal University, Lafia, Nasarawa, that the cut-off mark for candidates has been announced. Those seeking admission into FULAFIA must check the current UTME Cut off mark for FULAFIA for all courses in this section.

The current cut-off marks for various departments at FULAFIA in the UTME are as follows:

  • Human Anatomy and Physiology 200,
  • Nursing and Radiography 210,
  • MLS 220 and
  • MBBS 230.

The cut-off mark for all other departments is 170. FULAFIA invites candidates who selected the university as their first choice in the recently concluded UTME to apply for admission into their preferred department.

Additionally, FULAFIA offers supplementary forms for candidates who did not meet the minimum cut-off point for their desired department.

To be eligible, candidates must have obtained at least 5 credits in their WASSCE or NECO results and scored a minimum of 170 in the UTME.
