Brief Description

Highly motivated and academically accomplished students from around the world can apply for the Deutschlandstipendium National Scholarship and receive both monetary and non-material benefits. All participating German universities benefit from the Deutschlandstipendium.

There are no restrictions on nationality or personal or parental income when it comes to awarding this scholarship, either. In addition, the federal training assistance grant (BAföG) does not apply to the scholarship funds. In addition, there are no social security contributions to be paid out of the pocket.

The largest public-private partnership scholarship program in Germany, the Deutschlandstipendium, is open to high-achieving students from all over the world who wish to pursue Bachelors and Masters degree programs at public and state-recognized universities in Germany. Mentoring programs, networking events, and internships are also offered by many universities and private sponsors in conjunction with the Deutschlandstipendium program.

Worth of Scholarship

Normally, funding is provided for a minimum of two semesters, but it can be extended up to the standard four-year study period. For every two semesters, the university checks to see if the recipient is still eligible and whether private funding is still available.
